The Deputy Executive Director acts as a strategic partner with the Executive Director for the implementation of the agency’s goals and direction, supervises specific management positions, supports the ED in the management of daily operations, and acts in a second-in-command role and on behalf of the ED (when absent), and as requested at other times. The Events and Stewardship Manager is a new position, reporting to the Development Director in order to support Food For Thought’s comprehensive fundraising program. The primary duties of the Events and Stewardship Manager will be to coordinate all aspects of the agency’s special events, and to participate in and oversee the stewardship communication between Food For Thought and its donors. The Garden Manager is responsible for the ongoing evolution, maintenance and care of the Food For Thought gardens, orchards, and landscapes. The Manager works in collaboration with Food For Thought staff, and supervises garden volunteers in maintaining and developing Food For Thought’s organic gardens that produce vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers, as well as a place of beauty and respite, for our clients.
